After reading some reviews on this printer I expected to have some installation problems. Read the manual FIRST and every thing installed and worked within 15 min. One word of advice if for some reason you have to reinstall make sure all previous installations are deleted. Read the full review here

As you can see the HP j4680 officejet printer has got a lot of reviews, some good and some bad. I do not agree with a lot of the bad reviews. I think some people expect more from this printer than it can give or else they are not fully familiar with the working of it yet. I was amazed to see the size of the box but then I saw the printer inside. Holy cow, that is one solidly-built piece of equipment. I’ve read some of the negative reviews on this printer, and at least half of their problems are self-induced. Use the right paper and settings and you won’t get jams. Don’t install all of the HP software, and you won’t get those long start ups or other annoyances. Noise? You’re kidding, right? Noise is a Magicolor laser hammering like an angry Norse god when a print job is sent. I’ve heard the sound of the HP’s print heads moving, but nothing I’d consider loud or unusual. I have read a lot of reviews about the HP Officejet 6500 Printerall in one wireless printer. It would appear that you either like this printer or do not.
I have read reviews from people who are totally happy with its performance and from others who have complained.
On a personal note I like the HP 6500. The majority of complaints are to do with the printer being noisy. To address this issue it must be remembered that these are mechanical moving parts and therefore you have to expect some noise.
I do not believe there is printer in this price range that someone has not complained about the noise when the use.
As regards being hard to set up, I have heard from people including a 73-year-old granny with no technical skills who was able to set this printer up in under 15 minutes.
Always remember if all else fails read the instruction manual or should this be done first.

After installing the ink cartridges the printer gives out an alignment sheet which you can scan in, so that the print heads are lined up properly. The lighted LCD panel on the printer gives clear prompts making this an easy set up.
What I really liked about the ink cartridges is that they both have the same number, making it a lot easier to remember when replacing them. Just that one is marked color ink and the other black ink.
Printing from any room without using cables is ideal, especially if you use a laptop a lot of the time. The quality of the print is very clear and crisp on regular or high-gloss papers. You really can’t beat a wireless print, once installed you can put it anywhere within range that is suitable.
If you are looking for a great home office all in one printer the HP 4500 is ideally suited for this job.
There are many different hp officejet printers to choose from. You will find that each one has something different to offer. If you are looking for a printer that will be in continuous use, then the 4500 may not be the one you. You should perhaps then look to purchase a more expensive model.

I’ve been a user of HP printers for many years now, most recently a Photosmart C7250 All-In-One. The new HP Officejet 4500 Wireless has many of the capabilities of the C7250 for a much lower price.
